The Hist'ry-onics

"If you don't have any books on history, you can just haul off and sing it."

 Woody Guthrie

Our show is a musical overview of American History, from the Boston Tea Party to the tragedy of the World Trade Center .  Along the way are ballads of heroes and heroines and the workers who built the Transcontinental Railroad.

Learning should be fun, whether you're a fourth grader sitting in a classroom or a senior citizen at a meeting of your local historical society. The music is toe-tapping, the lyrics tell tales of American History accompanied by an array of musical instruments: guitars, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, jaw harp and street bass (an evolution of the washtub bass. The performance is educational, filled with historical people, places and things.

We come with enthusiasm, energy, experience and a sense of humor. And also with our unconditional warrantee:  If you don't like us, we won't come back.
